Preparing for movement

Here he is, prepared for movement. The blue top, salvaged from a toy tortoise, seems to fit his head perfectly. So I couldn't resist taking this picture the other day. And it has saved his head from being knocked against the floor a few times already. Yeah, Thad's getting edgy and is starting to explore the world around him now on arms and feet. Still restricted to the living room though at the moment, with someone nearby to watch over him. Not a good idea for him to head to the kitchen as yet, even with the helmet on. When he's older, perhaps.

Getting attracted to all things shiny, like my keys and wristwatch. Think it's good exercise for him, especially when I move the stuff and he'll turn around and crawl to where it's shifted. Got a video of him following my watch around. Again, still need to find that converter first.

Blah.

New toys

Christmas came and went. Thad's getting more stuff lately, like a new walker from his godma. As well as a baby Eeyore from his uncle.

He seems to love it, and I found out why the next day when I visited him at his play pen. He was happily chewing on the tag attached to the poor Eeyore. Tried to turn it around so that he's facing its head, but to no avail. He just turned it around again and tugged into the tag. Ah well. Thad even managed to grab the plush with his legs and swing it to his chest when he threw it into the corner of the play pen. Got a video of it somewhere, just need to convert it to mpg or something from .3gp first. Hate the format, but can't do much about it as it's the standard format on my phone. Shucks. Will upload the video to youtube or something once it's converted.

Stay tuned.

Spider-Kid

Thad's really growing now. His (rich) mum just got him a green walker, so he's been quite mobile of late. Some days, just blocking his uncle's path out of the door, heh. Other days, he'll be bouncing around in it whenever he's happy.

Then today, I found out that not only can this kid kneel in his play pen, but he's starting to press his palms against the side wall-netting and raise himself up. Cool for a kid who can't even sit or crawl properly. He can only sit when he's leaning against someone or something, or with his hands on the ground. Soon, he'll want to climb all over the place. Slow down, kiddo. Better learn to sit and crawl first.

Still trying to get him to say "uncle".
